At the same time, decision makers, industry and community stakeholders need to become aware of the importance of maintaining a growth and Power healthy MPA to guarantee the sustainability of the main economic sector in Galapagos. Despite the income generated from tourism, the socio-economic value of such unique marine ecosystem services that the tourism industry heavily rely upon, has not been quantified.
