The witches show Macbeth three things; 1) A bloody baby saying Beware Macduff 2) A bloody helmet saying that he cant be killed by anyone born of women 3) A child witch holds a crown and a tree branch saying that he doesnt need. Shakespeare uses the witches as a remedy for Macbeth's curiosity which corrupts his character. The tale of Macbeth certainly makes us want to think twice before having our fortunes read. This leads to Macbeth's moral corruption and downfall by the play's end. Burnam Wood does come to Dunsinane, a Character Analysis on The Crucible which predicts his defeat. This new character of Macbeth contained greed, violence, and power hunger. Macbeth's downfall comes to him because he has not ruled in favor of his people. He hires 2 murderers to kill Banquo. Macbeth's loyalty to his king also indicates his greatness. He walls himself up in his castle to defend himself against the English and the men of his kingdom that have joined forces with the English.
